Our mission is to deliver value to our clients by constructing homes in a manner that reflects quality, pride, and integrity. Producing four generations of custom home builders the company has been rooted in the central North Carolina community since the early 1900’s and has been incorporated since 1980.
Having originated as a family farm the principles of that lifestyle have carried on throughout the years and transitioned into the family’s way of building custom homes. A tireless work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in what we do are the driving qualities in how we approach building each of our homes. Operating as a small business allows us to deliver personal attention to each project to ensure that these qualities are maintained and that each of our client’s needs are met.
Our first step to building a custom home is to personally meet each of our clients to listen to what they are looking for in a new home. Once we know that part, we then start to focus on how to put a plan in place to make that dream a reality. We discuss details such as the type of land the house will sit on, the style of the home desired, and the specific features that will go into the home. Each project is unique so once all the information has been gathered then we can work on estimating the cost of the project based on the details given. We also work alongside with the area’s top local architects and financial institutes to help consult on those ends as well.
Now the fun begins as we put our plans in action and watch the house grow into a home. One of the benefits of being a small business is the personal attention you will get during construction. Stephenson Builders does not employ project managers so you will be in direct contact with the owner throughout the entire process. He is on the job site daily making sure each home is staying on schedule and being constructed with the same quality that has made Stephenson Builders the area’s top custom home builder. We keep all clients updated on the schedule, answer questions along the way, and help with the selections during construction as well. Building a home should be fun and not stressful so enjoy it and let us take the worry away from the building part.
Now that the home is complete it’s time to enjoy all the hard work and planning that went into it! A few weeks prior to moving into the home we meet each client on site and walk through the home to ensure everything is just right before move in day as well as answer any questions they may have. We provide a contact list to our clients of all the contractors that worked on the home, make sure all warranties are in place, and help coordinate utility transfers for the new owners. It is our goal to make each homeowner proud of their home they worked hard to build!
